Introduction: I am Dr. Faran Farooq, originally from Pakistan. As a father deeply committed to the well-being of my precious daughter, Haya Maryam, I am reaching out for support in raising funds for her critical medical treatment. Relationship: Haya Maryam is my beloved daughter, born to my wife, Anam Hanif, and me. Our family's world revolves around her, and her health and happiness are of utmost importance to us. Journey: The nightmare truly began on that fateful day in January when Haya fell ill with a mild congestion. What started as a routine visit to the pediatrician quickly spiraled into a nightmare as she was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. Days in the PICU blurred into each other, filled with fear and uncertainty as we watched our little fighter battle for her life. It was during this dark time that the doctors mentioned a term that would come to haunt our dreams: Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). A genetic disorder that affects the very core of Haya's being, robbing her of the ability to move, to breathe, to live a normal life. As a dentist, I've dedicated my life to promoting health and well-being. Yet, despite my knowledge and expertise, I find myself powerless in the face of my daughter's illness. The only glimmer of hope lies in Zolgensma gene therapy, a treatment that promises to change Haya's life for the better. But it's a treatment that is out of reach for us here in Pakistan. Desperate to give Haya the chance she deserves, my wife and I have embarked on a journey of fundraising and sacrifice. We've liquidated our assets, reached out to friends and family, all in the hopes of raising enough funds to afford this life-saving treatment. Explanation of Funds Usage: The funds we are raising will be used exclusively for Haya's gene therapy treatment. Specifically, we are seeking to cover the costs associated with Zolgensma gene therapy by Novartis Pharmaceuticals. This therapy offers Haya the best chance at a fulfilling life, but unfortunately, it is not available in Pakistan, where we currently reside. The total cost of the treatment amounts to approximately 2.1 million USD. The funds will be delivered directly to Novartis Pharmaceuticals or the authorized medical facility administering the treatment. We will ensure transparency and accountability in the management of these funds, providing regular updates to our supporters on how their contributions are being utilized. Together, we can give her the chance she deserves to live a life free from the constraints of SMA. Thank you for standing with us on this journey to save our daughter's life.

Your generosity enables us to uplift deserving families facing heart-wrenching challenges in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. Together, we can change lives, just as we’ve done for families like Firdous and Hafsah, alhamdulillah. A Mother's Sacrifice: Firdous and Hafsah’s Journey of Survival In 2008, Firdous* arrived in Canada with her husband and four young children, filled with hope for a brighter future. Her husband’s student visa and scholarship provided them with an opportunity to pursue their dreams. Firdous worked tirelessly, supporting her family while her husband focused on his studies. But what started as a dream soon became a test of patience and faith. As the pressure of studies grew, Firdous’s husband began experiencing serious health issues, which led to severe mental health struggles. His four-year program stretched into a decade, leaving Firdous to shoulder the financial responsibility of the household. Meanwhile, their eldest daughter, Hafsah*, stepped up to care for her younger siblings as her mother worked day and night. However, Firdous’s strength began to wane, and her own health started to deteriorate. When she became pregnant with their fifth child, she had to quit work, pushing the family deeper into financial hardship. Health coverage was limited, and her condition worsened without treatment. The Canada Child Benefit helped but was not enough to keep the family afloat. In 2021, overwhelmed by his own struggles, Firdous’s husband made the devastating decision to leave his family and return to Africa. He pressured their 17-year-old daughter, Hafsah, to marry a stranger in Africa and abandon her dreams of higher education. Hafsah, raised in Canada with aspirations of attending university, broke down under the weight of this pressure and was hospitalized. In a moment of immense courage, Firdous stood up for her daughter, refusing to let her be forced into a life she didn’t choose. Her husband left for Africa alone, abandoning his family. Firdous, now with no work permit or financial assistance, was left to fend for herself and her children. Your Generosity Makes a Difference Alhamdulillah, with the support of our incredible community, Firdous and Hafsah have found stability, healed from their hardships, and started to rebuild their lives. But many other families are still struggling in silence, facing challenges just as daunting. Your donation can provide hope and stability to those in crisis. Please give today and help us continue supporting families like Firdous and Hafsah. Together, we can bring relief to those in need, ensuring that no one has to face their struggles alone. Jazakum Allahu Khairan for your support. May Allah reward you abundantly! *Names and some details have been changed to protect the family’s privacy.

Hello, i am starting a campaign for the Tahsen family who are experiencing an ethnic cleansing genocide & are depending on us for aid relief. Their environment conditions are inhabitable living among rubble, immense fears of rockets, bombardment and airstrikes when they are meant to have a normal life just like any other. They were forced to evacuate from their homes because of Israel’s cruel system of domination and apartheid against Palestine. The constant threat of bombs falling and violence made it impossible for them to stay, needing to seek refugee elsewhere. They are now seeking shelter in a tiny tent under horrible war conditions filled with hunger, bitter cold and health concerning diseases including endless insect bites. They have no access to nothing but uncontaminated water which can be life threatening for weak immune systems. Also, the university where Mohammed Tahsen was studying was bombed and turned into rubble, so he can no longer complete his education and must wait until it is rebuilt. Mohammeds brother Amir feels fear with every bombing as his hair is turning gray at the young age of 12 (yes, 12) and he screams and cries with every missile.. I am reaching out to my fellow humans who are willing to extend a hand for the underprivileged who are living a life they do not deserve; for a survival chance to escape the harrowing circumstances of war and conflict to build Gaza back with a future filled with promise, safety, and hope. This is not just a plea for help; it's a call for collective compassion and solidarity. Living in constant fear, uncertainty, not knowing if you will still live tomorrow, is a burden no human can live with. Imagine losing everything you have ever possessed, your house, your family, your city, your source of income, your people. This is the reality for Mohammed and his family. Their dreams of a peaceful future have been shattered, but hope persists as they need us more than ever.
